Introduction
If someone tries to infect you with a Trojan, they would
need a way to start up the Trojan when Windows reboots.
Hackers are always trying to find new startup methods. With
Hacker Eliminator, we have covered all of the startup methods
and added the detection of processes to make it impossible
for an informed watchful user to become infected with an
Internet Trojan. There are two main requirements in Trojan
infection, first that it needs to be a program that can
send information over the Internet and second that it will
need to still run after a reboot. Hacker Eliminator covers
both of these which makes it hard for any Trojan infection
to go unnoticed.
Each time a program programs itself to be started at reboot,
Hacker Eliminator will popup a window and ask you what to
do. If you were just installing a new program that you trust,
simply answer to allow what it desires to do. If you were
not installing a new program that you trust, always answer
Undo / Kill / Remove, etc.
Examples
of what to expect
You
visited a web page that had some malicious java script.
It could have uploaded a Trojan or a file to do damage to
your computer. Simply uploading the file would not do anything
to directly harm you unless you were to run the program.
If the file was uploaded into your system startup folder,
it will run the uploaded file the next time that you reboot.
This would cause you to become infected, or whatever dirty
work the file was programmed to do would take place at reboot.
While Hacker Eliminator is running, if a file is placed
in your startup folder you will see the following warning
box.

When you click on Undo Changes, the file will be removed
from your startup folder.
Next, lets say that someone changed your system registry
and added a second startup folder to your computer. In this
case, you could be watching your startup folder from time
to time and only seeing the proper system files, while not
realizing that the second folder
had ever been created by the hacker.
While using Hacker Eliminator, if a file is added to "A
SECOND UNKNOWN" startup folder, you can rest assured
that you would get a message something like the one shown
below.
Hacker Eliminator is programmed with all of the known startup
methods. It will let you know if a file is added to the
registry in any run area. Hacker Eliminator also includes
monitoring the newest method of shell execute hooks, third
party programs such as ICQ's netdetect and other less known
and some undocumented secret startup methods.
