Monitor Files
When the file monitor is turned on, Hacker Eliminator will notify you of any changes in your configuration files. If a change is detected, you will have the option to Undo or Ignore the changes as shown below.

If you choose Ignore, the changes will be allowed to take place. If you Undo the changes the altered file will be restored.

To test these features simply add a test file for monitoring and make a change to it. Or you can make a small change to one of the monitored files.

What Should I Do?
The default files that Hacker Eliminator monitors, will alert you if a new program will be starting when your computer is rebooted. If you have just installed a trusted program, the best choice will be to Ignore the changes. If you were not doing anything when the box pops up, or you were doing something that you do not trust such as reading mail or clicking on a file someone sent to you, ALWAYS Undo the changes. When in doubt it is better safe than sorry.

If you choose Ignore, the changes will be allowed to take place.

If you Undo the changes, the file that was programmed to run at reboot will not.

Enable File Monitoring
When this box is checked, Hacker Eliminator will monitor the configuration files listed in the monitor window. You can also toggle this function from the main program display check box.

Remove File
If a file is removed it will no longer be monitored for tampering.

Add File
Any text based configuration file can be added to this list for monitoring.
